Moving livestock is a trade of its own
You cannot put cattle in any truck. It takes the right deck, the right permits and a driver who knows what a long haul does to a beast. Transport is the third side of this market, and it is the thing that most often kills a deal that both parties wanted.
How the third side works
The holder
Says on the listing whether the buyer collects or a transporter has to be found. If transport is needed, it is arranged as part of the introduction instead of being discovered afterwards.
The buyer
Says the same thing on the requirement. Most buying sides run their own trucks. The ones that do not are matched with a hauler who already runs that route.
The transporter
Posts the routes run, the vehicle, how many head it carries and whether it crosses borders. When a consignment on that route needs moving, the introduction includes you.
What is published, and what is not
Routes, vehicle type, capacity and cross-border ability go on the board, because a buyer needs to see that the capacity exists. Your company name and your number do not. They are passed on when an introduction is made, the same rule that applies to every side here.
Chinyama does not employ transporters, does not own a vehicle, and does not guarantee a haulier. Livestock welfare on the road, permits and insurance sit with the operator and the parties to the consignment.
