What Chinyama is
Chinyama matches the person who holds the cattle with the person who wants to buy them. That is the whole service.
How it works
Whoever holds the animals posts what they have and where. Whoever wants animals posts what they need and in what condition. Both sides sit on one board, arranged district by district, so each can see the other.
Then a person reads both sides and, when a current fit is confirmed, puts the two parties on a WhatsApp call. Every valid submission is reviewed within one business day. It is a marketplace with a person in the middle. Chinyama introduces and coordinates; it does not own, buy, sell, move or value livestock. There is no account, no bidding, no clock, and no algorithm deciding who hears about whom.
Why it is needed
A holder in a rural district usually has one buyer, whoever drives out that week, and the price is whatever that buyer says because there is no second bidder within reach.
The buying side has the opposite problem. An abattoir supplier or exporter with an order to fill has to assemble the volume out of a scattered countryside one phone call at a time. Neither side is short of intent. Both are short of sight of each other.
The position, in one line
Chinyama introduces. It does not trade. It never owns, moves, feeds, grades or slaughters an animal, never handles money, and never issues or vouches for a permit. Grading, transport, abattoir and paperwork sit with the buying side, where they have always sat.
Where it runs, and what comes next
Botswana, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia, with cattle first. Goats, sheep and poultry run on the same rail once the buying side for them is in place. After that: verified herd badges, transport booking through partners, and a published price guide by district and condition. None of it changes the position above.
